ROLE OF COUNSELLORS IN MARITAL CONFLICT RESOLUTION

Abstract

Marital conflict is a critical matter in many families across the world and specifically in Nigeria. Many families have crumbled and some couples live as if they are strangers in their own home because of persistent and unresolved conflicts. If the situation continues like that without it being effectively managed, the ef ect could be very devastating to the couple’s emotional well-being and mental health; which may also be extended to their children. This paper is intended to give an insight into the concept of marital conflict and the role of counselling in its resolution
